SUN GOD (2) stoked up late but just failed to pick up the in-form War Eternal in the 1500m Spear Chief here recently. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and his mile form is very good. Big chance with Nash taking over. ROTAGILLA (9) was shuffled back mid-race then came again to finish third last start over 1810m at this track. Gets some nice weight relief today and won't mind coming back in trip. WAR ETERNAL (1) chalked up the hat trick of stakes wins last time, beating a few of today's key rivals. Races handy and makes his own luck. Maybe 60.5kgs will stop him. PASIMA (10) opened this prep with a couple of eye-catching runs over 1400m then struggled in heavy going in the Listed Wayne Wilson last start. Drops 5kgs and draws a far better gate today. Each-way at massive odds. CRANKY HARRY (12) was there to strike when they straightened in the 1500m Spear Chief here last start but he failed to run on as expected. Awkward gate doesn't help but can sneak into the finish.
