It was a similar win in the same race as Growing Empire who went on to win this race as well. Tipping he measures right up and announces himself as one of the better three-year-olds in Melbourne. TYCOON STAR (2) sat on speed in a strongly run Mcneil Stakes at Caulfield second up and came away to score convincingly. He was a winner down the straight on debut and rates highly here with fitness on his side. DEVIL NIGHT (1) didn't have the best of luck first up in the San Domineco when held up for a run. He's a Blue Diamond winner who has to be respected back down to Melbourne. MCGAW (5) and SHINING SMILE (4) have form behind Tycoon Star and can figure on an each way basis.
