Tough race. VINROCK (1) was a pass mark first up in the Mcneil Stakes at Caulfield, perhaps just outpaced there in a genuinely run 1200m. His two-year-old form obviously reads well as a dual Sires winner over this trip in both Melbourne and Sydney. Drawn wide here, expect they roll forward now which should see a much improved run. CROSSBOW (3) was scratched from Moonee Valley for this having peaked on his run out to 1523m last start. The win here prior was good and getting McDonald on now doesn't hurt either. WISE INLAW (8) was a dominant maiden winner two back and did well sticking on for second at Moonee Valley last time out. Shinn takes over here in a positive jockey change and he has plenty of options from the gate. JUST KICK (12) is still a maiden but has form at Listed level and should be running on well. PRESTIGE OLE (4) resumes and can be hitting the line late.
