SILVER MAGNATE (12) is a lightly raced five-year-old for the Begg yard with a progressive record, winning well first up before being sent out $1.60 at Sandown Hillside last time, unsuited there in a real dash home. He looks much better suited getting to 1420m here in what looks to be a solidly run race where he can rip home. CATOGGIO (4) resumes. He's off a fairly long spell but looked good winning a recent trial and did win a Listed race over this route less than a year ago. If he's fit enough, his best sees him very hard to run down. HE'LL RIP (9) has been thereabouts his past couple, well backed at Sandown Hillside last time when getting home late into third. He can land in a good spot here just off the pace and run well. ROGUE ROCKER (8) was poor in Sydney last time but had been about the mark prior and can bounce back.
