COLT FORTY FIVE (1) has been freshened since an even run here over 1530m when seemingly having his chance, fading late to finish sixth. His two runs prior over slightly shorter trips were very good, especially the second placing to Puglia at Ballarat which goes a long way to winning this. Back in trip here from a good draw, he should take beating. DON'T SAY NO MIKKI (2) was close up in a bunched finish fresh at Horsham, beaten under a length into fourth. His best run in his maiden campaign was second up and he's open to improvement. KIRKHOEPASSE (9) is a filly by Ole Kirk on debut for the Ciaron Maher yard. She's jumped out well enough to be a strong factor. CELESTIAL ZARA (8) ran a credible race first time out at Yarra Valley and has claims with natural improvement. DRUTHERS (3) is a gelding by Per Incanto on debut for the Hayes yard who can figure.
