MR CORNSTAR (5) failed to fire on debut over 900m at Newcastle but had shown ability with a sharp trial win beforehand. Better for the experience and can play a much more significant role this time. YASENA (6) improved sharply second-up at Wellington when chasing gamely to miss by less than a length. Open to further progress and drawn favourably for JPH. Take seriously. CHASING QUIVERS (9) has been only fair in two runs back but drops to a sprinting trip and is drawn to get the gun run. Capable of sharp improvement and shouldn’t be underestimated. BRAVALATANTE (7) has mixed her form this campaign but owns peaks that measure right up. Freshened off 36 days and dropping back in trip, she’s worth keeping safe.
