MISS DEFY (10) scored an impressive win over 2000m at Canberra two runs ago. Stepped back in trip and was less effective last time when down the track at Wagga. Back in her right race today so expect a return to form. SPENZALOT (5) tackled a middle-distance trip for the first time last start and did a fine job to finish second over 2100m at the Beaumont track, making up many lengths only to miss in a photo. Just needs to hold that form to play a major role in this easier race. The consistent FULMEN FILOU (4) raced handy then battled on well for second at Armidale recently in a BM58 over 1900m. Might need some luck from the wide gate but he is a genuine gelding who is sure to give a good account. AKAUWHEO (7) led for the judge but was swamped in the straight over 1800m at Gilgandra last time. Down in class and a bit less pressure over today's journey will help. EJECT (9) found the line well at Armidale last start and the extra trip today looks a plus.
