GRASSMERE JEWEL (1) got things back on track second-up at Warrnambool. Boasts a terrific record at this track and trip and will prove hard to beat if she finds that peak form. IMPENDING DIAMOND (6) comes out of a tougher Morphettville race where she wasn’t disgraced. Better placed here and looks a major player. Claim helps. FURRINA (3) showed good speed to lead all the way and score narrowly over this trip at Naracoorte last time. Will give them something to catch again. TAURI (7) wasn’t far away in tougher grade at Sandown-Lakeside and can be competitive dropping in class. One to include. HUGHIE (2) was poor last start but made light work of his rivals two back here in what has proven a hot form race. Has enough early dash to offset the wide draw and could prove tough to reel in if given his own way in front.
