Though CHARGING THUNDER failed to land a blow returned to this sphere at Cheltenham, he is appealing now pitched into a lower-grade handicap off 2 lb lower and, perhaps crucially, back on a sharper track. Diesel Line has barely put a foot wrong since joining this yard and he should again be on the premises, while Fourtowns and Kingston Sunflower also command respect.

    Fit from the Flat when striking on first run over hurdles for the best part of 2 years at Ludlow (15.8f, good to firm) last month, quickening clear on the run-in. 7 lb rise should be manageable for this C&D winner and strong claims granted a sound surface.
