A small field, but a good contest. CHICANE (1) just missed here over 2000m jumping substantially in trip. Peaks for this and is sure to be further improved. Gets in well with the 2kg claim and is ready to win. VINO NOVELLO (2) raced a $2.7 favourite in the same contest, beaten 2L. He brought a synthetic win to that over 1880m and has the winkers on for the first time. Won't have to improve much to go close. DON'T GIVE UP (3) didn't do a lot in the same race but had won well over a mile prior. Maps well and has the blinkers on for the first time. They may spark the extra required. LINDRUM (4) needed the first up outing in a 60 over a mile but comes into his own over middle distance. He rates well and no surprise to see him race well with the extra fitness.
