Kept fresh and can tag the good tempo. Top-three prospect. GOT GUMPTION (3) classy gelding with a good winning record fitter after one run back. Chipped away late first-up when a respectable second over 1015m at Ballina. Goes just as well second-up and shapes as the main danger. KIRRA'S SISTER (8) bounced off her good first-up second, with a slick on-pace victory over 1100m at Grafton. Capable of repeating the effort in this harder contest. ROSE NOIR (2) went to a new level when last in work and disappointed at her first run back when ninth over 1100m at Ipswich. Will appreciate Newman's claim and the sting out of the ground can help her cause.
