Verdict

Great race. CICALA (7) was a Stakes race two starts ago and then wasn't disgraced against older horses at G3 level last time. She looks very well in at the weights and is capable on rain-affected tracks. Not sure how they beat her. KARAVAS (4) is a quality mare that won well first-up. Her record suggests that she improved with a run under her belt so she appears the biggest danger. METRICAL (6) doesn't know how to run a bad race. He's a tough, hardened sprinter who won't be far away. Victorian visitor GRONKOWSKI (8) can improve back around a bend, although he does need to find a length or two. CLASSY KENNY (10) is a veteran but he's racing in close to career-best form. He's worth some thought for wider plays.
