A few well-credentialled maidens taking on some proven winners makes for an intriguing race. Hard to miss the debut run of SNOW MERCY (8), who got back to last before reeling off some slick closing sectionals. She'll be better for the run and can potentially settle closer from the low draw. She will be hard to beat. INTELLECTUAL (1) was well-backed off some nice trials and just held off the challenge of Snow Mercy last time. He's drawn wide again so he may need to do some work to cross the field if he is going to lead again. He looks above average and can win again. ZOUTRAIL (7) won an easier maiden last time and must be some chance of going back-to-back. DAMPEN (2) can run a cheeky race fresh, while JUXTAPOSE (10) is another that can improve at start two.
