SIR NOW (4) was well below his best last time at headquarters, finishing behind most of this line-up, but that effort looked too bad to be true. Gets a nice pull at the weights with the 3kg claimer engaged, and if he can rediscover his prior form he’ll take plenty of stitching. ZOUPURRING (7) is humming and doesn’t need to improve much to get the verdict. A six-time winner over this journey, he keeps Opperman aboard who knows him inside out. Sure to be very competitive again. WIGGUM (6) has returned in great order and should be peaking now third-up. Took plenty of ground off them late last start, though doesn’t meet them as well at the weights this time. Still, expect him charging late. CHICAGO STORM (1) is as tough as they come. Carries the big weight but should get an uncontested lead, making him the one they’ll need to catch. MY KHALIFA (3) can launch late if they overdo it up front.
