ZOOMORPHIC (1) just over three weeks between runs when up in class for a close-up sixth over 1350m at Beaumont (Newcastle). Will benefit with Drew's claim again and won well two back in this grade. Go close. NAFTALI (5) doesn't win out of turn and held on late after shouldering the 58kg when fourth over 1400m at Mudgee. Placed at the track and winning apprentice goes back on. Can get cover from the gate. GHAZNAVI (4) went back from the wide gate and was a total forgive when seventh over 1400m at Tamworth. Strips fitter third-up and finds a weaker race. MELLENCAMP (2) was rewarded for his consistency as fav when a comfortable winner in the small field over 1600m at Taree. Will relish the 4kg claim and can keep the momentum going.
