HOW MUCH BETTER (2) opened this campaign with three very nice minor placings then lost all chance last start when he blundered out of the gates. Still got up for fourth over today's trip at Warwick Farm that day. Going well enough to take care of this field. The danger is BABY HAZEL (7) who returns to the provincials after a couple of minor placings at Goulburn and Orange. Like her stepping up to 1400m at this stage of the prep, and the blinkers going on suggests she is ready to fire. ALL STAR (10) made late ground to be beaten a length in a maiden over 1200m at Gosford recently. Beautifully bred colt who tackles a harder race but he looks good enough to be competitive. COSMIC LAD (1) resumes. Opened last prep with a win at Wyong. Drawn out and has plenty of weight but cannot be left out of calculations. SPANDEX (5) returned with a nice effort at Muswellbrook last start and will appreciate getting over a bit more ground today.
