LETTERSTON LILY returned an improved model when successful at Perth in April and is fancied to resume winning ways back over a more suitable trip. Returning Handlethekettle merits plenty of respect, along with consistent course winner Morning Mayhem.

Progressive front runner. Made it 4 from 5 over hurdles for current yard courtesy of a sound-jumping performance over 2½m at Worcester (3-3 at the track) in July last year. He's still lightly raced for his age and has to be considered given his record fresh.

Consistent type with 4 wins for current yard, latterly coping best with conditions here (good to soft) in June. Addition of cheekpieces did no harm when 7¾ lengths fourth in a typically competitive Summer Hurdle latest. Back in calmer waters and still relatively unexposed over this sort of trip.
