EL PATRON (1) is a leader who was better again beaten 1L at Belmont over 1400m. Keeps the 4kg claim and doubt the mile will prove an issue. ACES TO WIN (5) is racing well. Was outgraded in Stakes grade two back but was back to this trip last time beaten less than 2L at Belmont. Draws awkwardly but benefits from Cooper's 2kg claim. ROYAL SPLENDOUR (2) needed it first up but will be much sharper today. At her best over middle distances, but the step-up to 1600m is in her favour and Chris Parnham is a key jockey engagement. RANDOM REWARDS (6) has been within range her last two and is on a quick back-up. She's been giving away starts but will hit the line. ET TU BRUTE (4) hasn't been able to replicate his Victorian form but has the rail today and the in-form Faithfull in the saddle. Won't be too far away.
