KATSUMI OROCHI (5) resumes having run a bolter at big odds in the G3 Blue Diamond Prelude, sticking on for third, beaten just 2.5 lengths and not far off subsequent Blue Diamond winner Devil Night. Now with the Freedman yard, he comes back off a fairly long break but anything like his debut will take beating. CAFFETTIERA (8) was good to the line in a strong maiden on debut at Geelong. She's open to plenty of improvement and just needs a good ride from the wide draw to be breaking through. SOUTHERN SLAMMER (1) resumes. He was well beaten on debut when in the market at Geelong but has jumped out well leading in for the new yard and can be a quick improver. AREAAN (13) improved nicely second up at Bendigo to get within a length of the winner and any further improvement will see her feature. LADY LONSDALE (11) wasn't beaten all that far fresh and will be fitter.
