Brother to poor chaser Radharc Na Slaine (23f winner), stays 3¼m. Second of 2 finishers sole start in points and failed to threaten when hooded (retained here) on Rules debut in a Chepstow bumper last month.

£28,000 3-y-o, Soldier of Fortune gelding. Dam, maiden on Flat/ran once over hurdles, closely related to fairly useful hurdler (stayed 3m) Tri Na Ceile. Yard's strike rate in bumpers is very modest.

1,200 gns 5-y-o. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful hurdler Sandor Clegane, stays 25f, and modest chaser Rectory Oak. Dam unraced. Doesn't have the look of a probable first-time-out winner on paper and, in any case, Five Bar Gate appears to be the stable No 1.

Second foal out of an unraced sister to unreliable but useful hurdler/chaser Out Sam and half-sister to useful hurdler/fairly useful chaser Honest John. Likely to need more time and distance.

Beaten a country mile on debut at Sandown and will probably struggle once again, unless the headgear (sports first-time hood and tongue strap) helps to trigger exponential improvement.
