BALLISTIC MISS (12) came home with a rush when finishing third fresh up at Tauranga, and then tried hard as the runner-up at Matamata 12 days ago. She stays at the mile, but with 2kg less to carry, she is poised to go one better here. BRADLEY (4) overcame a wide draw and produced a big finish to score an overdue maiden win fresh up over 1400m at Matamata on the same day as the top pick. He has a similar draw this time, but the extra 200m will suit, and he can have the last say again. ROBBIE BURNS (1) is dropping back from a middle-distance and is probably better off up to a mile. He is at his best on a wet track, and with conditions to suit, he can bounce straight back into the money here. BONNARD (2) fought hard on debut at Trentham, and the trip away did him the world of good as he was too tough when leading all the way at his next start at Avondale 3 weeks ago. He could take some pegging back here as well. PRINCIPLED (6) caught the eye last start and is not to be underestimated.
