Talented sprinter DISNECK (2) hasn't been all that far away in his two runs this prep, both on soft tracks. Has a far better record on top of the ground. Best form comes with a couple of runs under the belt so with McDonald taking over today everything points towards a big run. HUSK (12) surprised a few when she worked home well to finish third when resuming over 1100m at this track a fortnight ago. Competitive at stakes level last prep, the highlight a close second in the Desirable over 1400m at Flemington. Beautifully drawn and weighted so she poses a huge threat. SERGEANT MAJOR (8) did his best work late when fresh from a spell over this trip at Rosehill recently. Tackles a similar race today so must be respected, although the wide gate is a niggling concern. DOLLAR MAGIC (9) wasn't beaten far in the G3 Mona Lisa over 1350m at Wyong last time. More effective at 1200m so count her in. Group 3 winner GUMDROPS (5) is capable of a top four finish at her first run in eleven weeks.
