A truly run race will suit ARAPAHO (1) whose Cups campaign is on track. Enormous first-up behind two glamour mares in the Winx Stakes then worked home evenly in the Chelmsford when clearly in need of more ground. Ran Vauban to a nose over this trip in the Sky High last prep and another battle royale is on the cards. VAUBAN (3) produced a real eye-catcher first-up behind Lindermann in the Chelmsford. Class act who will be heavily bet - the only knock is that maybe 2400m is what he needs with the freshness gone. Still the testing material. FLYING BANDIT (20) is up in grade but his record at the trip is impressive, including victory in the Wagga Cup in May. Goes to a new level today but he is an up-and-coming stayer worth the gamble. BIRDMAN (12) may still need further but at the third run back we should be seeing some signs of what he is capable of. HALF YOURS (17) needed the run last start. Can figure if he finds the Caloundra Cup form.
