MCHALE (9) gets the nod in a very open race. Settled handy then tried hard under 59.5kgs but couldn't peg back Estadio Mestalla when resuming over 1500m at Rosehill last start. Proven at this level so the 4.5kgs weight drop is very appealing. McDonald sticks and so should the last start backers. HEADLEY GRANGE (7) has also accepted for Friday's Cameron. Excellent effort to win in open company last time out under 58kgs in bottomless conditions at Rosehill. Trialled since so although new to Group 3 racing he is going well enough to play a big role. Not much went right for DEPTH OF CHARACTER (12) first-up in the Tramway so forget the run. Queensland Guineas winner in the Winter so he looks beautifully in with 53kgs. Watch for a much better run. YELLOW BRICK (2) is a big chance second-up. Beat all but War Machine in the Stradbroke at the same stage last prep. Group 1 winner PORT LOCKROY (3) could surprise a few with that run under the belt.
