The likelihood of a strongly run mile gives SUNSHINE LAW (15) a fine chance to add to her excellent form this prep. Came from the clouds to just arrive last start in a BM78 over 1500m at Rosehill. Yet to miss the placings in four runs at a mile. Up in class but with Roper probably riding her at 52kgs she is right in this at a big price. LORD PENMAN (5) deserves early favouritism after a powerful return last time out over 1200m at Rosehill, his first run under Waller since coming from NZ. New to this trip which is the query but he should get a soft run from the inside draw. KAPAKIRI (13) didn't fire last Saturday over 1800m at Rosehill. Last raced over a mile three back when he won at Warwick Farm carrying 7.5kgs more than today. Worth a throw at the stumps. PERFUMIST (9) has been plain in her two runs this prep, both over 1200m. Needs this sort of journey now so don't rule her out. POCKETING (6) won the Group 2 Tulloch last season so he will enjoy getting to the mile second-up.
