SHOCKABELLA (11) looked likely fresh up at Ashburton before peaking on her effort and finishing fourth, just over a length from the winner. She cops another tough gate, but the mile start offers her plenty of time to find a good spot early on. Hard to beat this time. FLAT STANLEY (2) is a lightly tried veteran who is nearing his peak fitness, fourth up from a spell. His last couple of starts for third have had plenty of merit, and he is an each-way chance again. BUSTER SHAW (8) resumes from a spell and looked in forward condition at a recent trial here late last month. He might need the run, but this field is very even, and he is worth including in all combinations. PEQUOT (3) improved from a fair run fresh up, to finish third by a neck at Ashburton a fortnight ago. He faces a similar field, and it is encouraging to see Tina Comignaghi stick with him. Each way. TAKE ON (10) had his last start over hurdles when he fell. Don't risk him back on the flat here.
