JUST CHARLIE (6) confirmed that he is on target for a tilt at the NZ Cup when winning at Waverley nearly 3 weeks ago, and then winning at the trials since then to keep his fitness levels up. He drops in weight, and can take them all the way again. TITICACA (7) is another getting ready to peak next week. He was a brave runner-up at Woodville 6 days ago, and he comes into his own over the longer trips. Don't risk him in this. Can win. COURT OF APPEAL (8) made the most of a smart Bruno Queiroz ride when scoring by 4 lengths at Ashburton last time out. There will be none of those shenanigans here, but she is in a good space and can figure in the top 3 again. ELEGANT LADY (3) ran on nicely for sixth in the Spring Classic here 2 weeks ago, and steps up to 2600m for the first time. Craig Grylls picks up the ride, and the pair merits healthy respect. BEAVERTOWN BOY (4) is a durable veteran getting out to a more suitable distance range for him, fourth up from a spell. Include in all combos.
