A very strong field of fillies line up for the Group 1 1000 Guineas, and the unbeaten WELL WRITTEN (1) is on top for us after her demolition job in the G2 Soliloquy Stakes at Ellerslie in only her second ever start. On that effort, the extra furlong won't be a problem, and the hat-trick beckons. COOL AZA RENE (2) silenced a few of her critics when winning at G3 level at Ashburton 4 weeks ago. She puts herself in the right spot, and with some luck off a wide gate, she can go close to winning again. LOLLAPALOOZA (4) ran on too late behind the top pick last start when finishing fifth. She has the blinkers on this time, and from a superior gate, she can settle a lot closer to the action early on. She is good enough to take this out. CREAM TART (6) had a tough trip at Trentham last start but was still too strong, scoring by over a length. This is a whole lot tougher, but she deserves her chance. ORIGIN OF LOVE (10) was a G3 winner here 2 weeks ago, and is not out of this. Each way.
