He is drawn to receive the run of the race, and surely his day in the sun will come soon. LUCKY FERRANDO (3) tried his heart out when finishing second by a short-head at Wingatui 8 days ago. A nasty gate is against him here, but he has upside, and the extra furlong will be in his favour. Follow your money. LET ME LOOSE (8) has been a beaten favourite without too many excuses in her last couple of starts at Ashburton. She has the blinkers off this time and is worth another chance at some better value. MY SHARONA (9) finished less than 2 lengths from the winner in fourth at Ashburton 12 days ago when resuming from a spell. The firmer surfaces will help her, and she can figure in the top three this time.
