OCEAN BAY (6) was an impressive debut winner, and then was going to go close to winning at Ashburton last time out before running into a dead end late in the run home. With some better luck, she is the one to beat for us. KIWI MAGIC (3) has been facing tougher company than this in both of his starts back from a spell, and he is in the right race this time. He has had a couple of gear changes to correct his slight greenness query, and he would not be a shock winner. CASHLA BAY (2) has changed stables since some good efforts earlier in the season in handy fields. She resumes with the blinkers on and did win a recent trial very comfortably. The pole position will ensure that she is well supported fresh up. CHAMPAGNE DIBLU (1) won very well at Ashburton just over 3 weeks ago, and had been to the fore at the trials before that run. He has the scope to go right on with the job now. SWEETHEART (7) was not far from the winner in a good field here last time out, and she is right in this.
