KAKKOII (8) caught the eye fresh at Sandown-Hillside, making good late ground on rain-affected going to finish midfield. Strips fitter and the step up in trip looks ideal. With Shinn taking the reins from a favourable draw, he clearly profiles as the one to beat. CAPTAIN CAT (2) showed speed to lead when resuming here last month before tiring late for third. Kept fresh since and maps for another forward showing. If he gets control, he’ll be hard to reel in. NOBLE STEED (5) was never sighted fresh but his prior form and jump-outs suggest he’s much better than that. Can improve sharply second-up at a price. ATTACK FORCE (1) ran on well when resuming and will appreciate the rise in trip. DISTILLERY (3) resumes off two jump-outs and could show more this prep.
