PENNINE WAY (8) resumes off a short break. He only had one run last time in and struggled on tough ground as favourite which can be easily forgiven. His form prior to that reads very well for this with a consistent run of placings in handy races. Provided he's been kept up to the mark by the McEvoy yard, he looks well placed. MACEDON ROSE (7) was awful two back at Pakenham but bounced back to charge home and just miss at Mornington in a BM70 over 1500m last start. She likely gets back again but will be hard to hold out. JUST JENNI (9) is a lightly raced mare who presents third up. Two runs back have been solid, the latest in town, and 1600m should suit ideally now. Keep safe. MAGARTEN (1) hasn't quite fired in two runs back but prior form says he can improve. BALLON D'OR (3) will be up on speed and can stick on for a placing.
