CHIEF WITNESS (15) continued his excellent recent form with a determined win in a Class 6 over this distance at Eagle Farm last start. Taking on a stakes race for the first time but he looks ready for the transition with just 53kgs from an inside gate. ESJAY (14) made it three wins from his last four when successful with a bit to spare in a BM90 over this distance at Eagle Farm three weeks ago. Has a similar profile to the top pick - in form, new to stakes racing, lightly weighted, perfectly drawn. OUGHTON (2) flew home to grab third in the Recognition Stakes over 1350m at Doomben two back. Hurt his chance in the Lough Neagh last time when he missed the kick. Proven at this level and his record at 1400m is outstanding. OUR MAGNUS (13) gave Esjay too much start when they clashed recently, but he did get home hard to finish second. One to watch for late in the piece. ROCKRIBBED (1) was a touch disappointing last time after winning consecutive Listed races. Can bounce back.
