VARAZZE (8) registered her fourth minor placing from nine starts when edged out over this distance at Muswellbrook last start. Won't find a weaker $40k maiden so this is her big chance to grab a well-deserved win. SHE'S A WILD ONE (6) overcame a poor start to chime in late and finish runner-up over today's trip at Port Macquarie last time out. Has had plenty of chances like the top pick but looks the obvious danger. NORTHERN GLOW (10) made late inroads but was never a threat when resuming over this distance at Port Macquarie recently. Probably needs more ground but is a top three hope against this lot. PRISCILA STATEMENT (5) was handy all the way when a distant third first-up at Tamworth. Draws the fence and should be thereabouts again. LYKOS (4) is also in the mix following some decent efforts of late.
