BANTARKI (5) took up the running in the rich Port Macquarie Sprint last start and did well to hold on for third at the end of 1250m. Won't find this race as deep and back to his favourite track third-up is perfectly placed. BUCK PHAROAH (6) has been attacking the line strongly to wind up just behind the placings in his last couple of appearances, both over 1000m. Meets some better types today but this distance is more his go, and Taree has been a happy hunting ground. SAVOCA (8) made it two in a row when he charged home to take out a BM66 over 1200m at Tuncurry recently. Kept fresh for this which did the trick last start. In career best form and is a live chance of the hat trick. TARTAGLIA (7) disappointed last Saturday at Port Macquarie. Best form is right up to the mark so keep him safe. ZARU (3) has missed the frame just twice from 18 Taree runs. Good fresh performer who can run a big race.
