RUN RORY RUN (2) travelled in the leading division then dug deep to hold onto third last start over 1500m at Newcastle. Races well at Taree and from a good gate will enjoy the run of the race around his favourite circuit. Looks the one. MON AMORE (8) raced wide at stages so her effort to be beaten under two lengths last time out over 1509m at Port Macquarie had plenty of merit. Draws another poor gate but with a bit of luck in the early stages she can feature prominently. SPIRITLY (11) scored here at this trip two back then caught the eye late over 1800m at Port Macquarie last Saturday. In fine form and this scenario sets up ideally. SCOTLAND (5) cantered in two back in open company at Bowraville before getting too far back at Newcastle last time. Good chance if ridden with a bit of aggression. ANCIENT EGYPT (3) walked in at Gunnedah recently. Major candidate with a repeat of that effort.
