HIGHLY TEMPTED (7) is a consistent gelding back from a 31-week spell. Closed last prep with a long string of minor placings. Does have form at this trip and he enjoys racing at Taree so this looks a suitable first-up essay. DE FORZA (1) was ridden back in the field against pattern then stoked up late to finish fourth last start over 1000m at Ballina. Hasn't raced beyond 1200m before but can find the line so should cope. Nicely drawn and will run his usual honest race. MR VILLA (2) found 1007m at bit slick when resuming here 24 days ago. Encounters a slightly easier assignment here and strips fitter so out to this trip he appeals as a major contender. DIZZY DEE (5) cost herself with a poor getaway at Port Macquarie last time. Usually reliable so from a favourable draw she deserves another chance. WELCOME BACK (14) went close at massive odds last Saturday at Port Macquarie. Throw him in the exotics.
