She cops a superior gate this time, and an extra 3kg may not be enough to stop her from winning again. GRANDE GALLO (2) got up late to score by a nose at Te Aroha just over 3 weeks ago, and her record on this track is very good, including 3 wins. She loves it heavy and will be among the hardest to beat again. CHURCHILLIAN (1) likes to set the pace, and those tactics around this circuit can be quite useful with a soft quarter in the running. This is her pet trip, and if she can dictate the early pace, then she can take them all the way. ASTORIA BROOKE (12) has improved in each of her 3 starts back from a spell, and she has won her only start on this course over the trip. Michael McNab sticks with her, and so do we.
