SNEAKY CYCLONE (4) has steadily improved in each of his starts and will finally have a decent draw this time, landing the pole position. Michael McNab sticks with him, and so do we. CONFECTIONIST (11) won a pair of trials prior to finishing second fresh up at Matamata in May, a result which he repeated at Tauranga last time out, when finishing just a short-head off the winner. She is peaking at the right time and is set to go one better. DRAGONSTONE (7) raced too keenly on debut and did a few things wrong before dropping out to finish at the rear of the field, though his jockey did sit up on him in the final straight. His trial form prior was encouraging, and he is worth another chance with that experience behind him. FORCE OF LAW (1) ran an improved race last time when making his poly track debut at Cambridge. He seems to prefer the firmer surfaces, and with conditions to suit, he can figure in the top 4 again. THE GIGGLER (14) will be suited by the step up from 1200m to 1400m.
