EXIT LEFT (1) has been knocking on the door, most recently finishing runner-up over 1600m at Otaki. With good early speed, he should be prominent in the run, and he can claim that overdue win this time. RUJI (5) broke through last start over 1700m at Awapuni on the poly track, winning by a neck. He has improved since joining the Suzy Gordon stable, and he is capable of making it two in a row. SHARP ENOUGH (6) steps up in distance today after some solid recent form, including a sixth over 1300m at Cambridge on the poly track there. He’s among the better top 4 chances in another even contest. MONOLOGUE (11) ran a bold third last time out over 1340m at Wanganui in his first run back from a spell, beaten just over a length. Fitter for that run, and he would not be a shock winner. TRAINWRECK (3) has been a touch disappointing in 3 starts since finishing second here in late June. He is worth another chance.
