THE MIGHTY SPAR (1) was outgunned by Bazini last start, but that was under 74kg and he gets into this race much better at the weights than what he's done his past couple. This is his best chance all season to get back into the winner's list. GOLDEN GARDEN (3) is a fine jumper who has been relentless in recent runs. Saluted (3450m) at this track two runs back then again got the job done last time (3800m) at Casterton, winning with 3 lengths in hand. The question mark is he missed a run a couple of weeks ago but he looks a real up-and-comer. CASTROFRANCARU (2) missed the placings (3800m) at Casterton two back then improved to wind-up second in The Australian Steeplechase (3900m) at Sandown-Lakeside last start. Will take some stopping. BAZINI (4) doesn't get in as well at the weights as last start, but his tail will be up after rediscovering winning form. MR LINCOLN (6) has been good in two steeplechase runs and rises in grade here but is on the up.
