MARIA PILAR (5) ran her best race in her initial prep when making her debut at Riverton, finishing a bold second. Her 2 subsequent starts also had merit, and she would have matured over her spell. A heavy track is no problem, and she will be ready to rumble fresh up. SNOW BRAINER (1) made progress during his initial prep, and though not figuring in the top 3, he still performed with credit. He is bred to want longer, but Kevin Tyler has a great strike rate, and this gelding is worth each-way consideration. AUTUMN BREEZE (2) has 3 starts in the North Island, with the best result being a fourth on debut at New Plymouth. He is bred to improve with time, and the market will be the best guide fresh up. FAH RONG (4) is another gelding resuming from a spell that would have done him the world of good after looking a touch on the weak side last season. He has had a couple of trials and will be ready to rumble fresh up. CLANCY (3) trialled twice in the North Island. Respect the local stable.
