Found this the toughest race on the card. MOBY DICK (4) comes through a farcically run Sprint Series Final where they barely got out of a canter but he finished as well as he could. The win here on heavy ground three back reads well, he can descend on these late. No real knocks on the 3yo BARARI (11) who was game in the Creswick Stakes last start. Interesting that they press on against the older horses but she gets in very light and should get a nice run on speed. GREAT MAXIMUS (1) continues to race well without winning, third behind subsequent G3 winner Winnasedge last time at Caulfield reads well for this although Moby Dick did beat him by 4 lengths when they met here. Giving an each way hope at odds to the resuming BETWITCHERY (6). 1400m is her go but she can sprint well fresh and gets in light having really started to hit her straps at the end of last campaign. FLYER (8) can improve back to 1200m.
