PIERATA'S SPIRIT (3) has not raced since starting at $3.00 on debut in an Eagle Farm maiden in May where he showed pace but knocked up late. Won a recent trial here in good style and will find this a far easier launching pad. DRINKWATER (1) has only raced three times in a stop/start career. Started favourite at his latest appearance on 7 March but was never in the hunt. Looked good in a recent 1000m trial here so a big run is on the cards. GANCEDO (7) led but found one better over 1150m on the poly track here recently, easily the best of her three runs to date. Yet to prove herself at this trip or on turf but signs last time were encouraging. MAGIC INVADER (2) went to the barriers as a $2.40 first-up at the Sunshine Coast but went poorly. Placed at six of 11 runs including four at 1000m. Deserves another chance. POISED TYCOON (5) has been kept fresh since finishing midfield first-up in a strong form race at Grafton five weeks ago. One to keep safe with the help of the inside alley.
