Chris Dell retains the ride after steering him to victory last time out, and the pair can repeat the dose. HI YO FOX ROX (1) also comes off an impressive maiden success after scoring convincingly over 1600m at Wanganui 5 weeks ago. He has plenty of upside, and he can take the next step immediately. ARTFUL DODGER (4) is still a maiden, and he had little luck from a wide draw at Ellerslie last start, but worked home strongly to finish within 2 lengths of the winner. With a kinder run in transit, he has the ability to make his presence felt. ROMANIN (7) was successful 2 starts ago on the poly track at Awapuni before finishing a fair fifth on there last time out. She is capable of bouncing back and deserves respect in an even contest. MISISSIPI GAMBLER (5) bolted in fresh up, and then flew home for second by a nose last time out. Go again.
