JUST A BROWN HORSE (1) is a locally trained 8YO gelding resuming from a spell, and he has been placed twice on his home course. All of his 4 placings have been over this trip, and he is worth including in all combos. NOT A DOUBT (4) whacked away fairly well on debut at Riccarton when finishing sixth of 7. He will find this easier, and is worth top 4 consideration. TULSA TURNAROUND (8) has had 2 runs in the South Island without much joy, and will drop 3kg for her peak run here. Stick with her on an each-way basis. LA FURRIOSSA (13) has not had all favours recently, and in this field, she may be able to run into the top 3 for the first time at bolter's odds.
