KOWLOON MAGNATE (11) due for a change of luck and gets map favours here. Covered ground from the sticky gate with a respectable third over 1600m at this track. Expected to race a touch closer and no excuses in this winnable race. SMICHOV (4) has gone to a new level this prep after scoring the Maiden win first up at Bathurst. Was strong late when second at Wyong over this trip at latest. Blinkers go on and sure to be thereabouts. WOODROW (6) faded late at his second run back with a respectable fourth over 1400m at Newcastle in C1 grade. Has the gate speed to get over from the wide draw and will be be in this for a long way. GEMTIKI (8) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing fourth over 1600m at Newcastle. Winning rider hops back on and stays in the calculations.
