BELZONI (10) trekked South to Riccarton and put together a couple of brave efforts to finish runner-up by a nose in each of those runs. Dropping back from 1400m to 1200m should not be an issue, and she deserves to go one better. AMAZING SON (11) was perfectly ridden when winning at Hawera nearly 3 weeks ago, and the form from that race has since been franked. He drops 3kg and is good enough to measure up in this as well. TURN THE ACE (3) was found to have suffered from the thumps when weakening out of it late in the Winter Cup at Riccarton 4 weeks ago. He has won 3 times over this trip, and he can bounce straight back into the money here. PRIORESS (6) went huge in the Winter Cup when finishing third, and she is flying this prep. Don't take her lightly in this. BELLES BEAU (2) is a capable gelding who looks set for another profitable season after winning a recent trial. He comes to hand quickly and will be ready to run a big race fresh up here.
