CORMAC T (2) returned to form last start with a game effort over this trip at Rosehill, leading for much of the race only to find one better near home. Has a nice record at 2000m and that form from Sydney looks good in a race like this. DEMARCAY (9) led for the judge and looked home but was nailed on the line last time out over 2450m at Beaudesert. Best form comes at today's journey. Drops sharply in the weights after the claim and will be peaking at the fourth run back. TECHNA (16) came from midfield with an explosive finish to thrash a BM68 midweek field over 1800m at Eagle Farm recently. Can win again despite a class rise. CONNECTICUT (1) is not a prolific winner but did catch the eye last start over 1800m at the Gold Coast. Has the class to win a race of this calibre. STRANGLEHOLD (7) made it four career wins from just ten starts when a narrow victor over this distance at Ipswich last time out. Steps up to Saturday grade but should give a good account.
