Verdict

ESJAY (3) hasn't been all that far away in strong races of late. Last appeared outside stakes grade in May and defeated Balance The Books at Eagle Farm. Beautifully in after the claim and draws a favourable alley so ticks all round. WARBY (5) is another who will appreciate a step back in grade. Best recent effort was a third in a Listed race over this trip at Eagle Farm two back. Likes Doomben and has the class to test this field. EXPRESS PAYMENT (6) went back from a wide draw then finished hard under a big weight to score impressively at his latest outing over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast. Three-time winner here at the mile. Gets in nicely on 54kgs so looms as a serious threat. RISING PACIFIC (2) has been safely held at stakes level since a big run first-up in open company at this track. Very good miler with definite claims. THE INFLICTOR (1) is another who is back in grade today and can improve with the blinkers back on.
